Freshness & Shipping or Delivery
The regular Light, Medium, and Dark coffee is roasted by our roastery and shipped directly to you. Most orders for our classic roasts ship within 1–2 business days of being placed. Once shipped, expect delivery in 2–5 business days. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day.
Our flavored coffees are made to order for maximum freshness. Each batch is flavored on day 1, roasted on day 2, and shipped on day 3. This extra care means your coffee arrives as fresh as possible—never sitting on a warehouse shelf. Plan for 3–4 business days of preparation, plus 2–5 business days of transit. Total estimated delivery: 5–9 business days from your order date.
Make sure to select Local Delivery if you live in Lubbock, Texas to have your order delivered to your doorstep! The delivery window is the same as above: 1-2 business days for light, medium and dark roast, and 3-4 business days for flavored coffee.
Coffee Sourced ONLY from Honeybee-Friendly Farms
Most commercial coffee (Coffea arabica) is self-fertile, meaning it can technically produce a crop without any outside pollination help — which is why many large-scale farms simply don't prioritize bringing honeybees into their operation. Without managed hives nearby, yields are adequate but unremarkable. When honeybees are introduced, the difference is well-documented: research consistently shows a 10–25% increase in fruit set and berry weight, and in some studies yield improvements reach as high as 50%. Beyond raw numbers, honeybee cross-pollination improves the uniformity of the coffee cherry, which means fewer defects in the harvest and a more flavorful cup. The farms we partner with at Tumbleweed Bees don't just tolerate honeybees — they actively support managed hive health as part of how they grow. When you choose our coffee, you're choosing a product where the bees were part of the process, not an afterthought.
Good Coffee Starts at the Source
Caprock Reserve coffee is sourced from carefully chosen farms in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras where honeybees live among the Coffea Arabica plants.
